Takahashi City Library

Takahashi City's new library opened in February 2017. Its entrance is located in Bitchu Takahashi Station. On the left stands the Takahashi City Tourist Center, where you will find souvenirs, local specialties and various informations and pamphlets about sightseeing sites.

The first floor houses a Tsutaya Bookstore and a Starbucks Coffee, for those who would want to immerse themselves in a good book while having a drink, or just order a coffee while waiting for the next train !

Enjoy the elegant interior design of the library, with its incredibly high wooden bookshelves, its soft lit, and its houseplants arranged to create a fresh and homely atmosphere. A lot of corners for reading or using your laptop are provided, and there are also spaces available to chat. Free-WiFi is available up to 4 hours a day. Drinks are allowed inside the library, but you can also have a sit at the 4th floor terrace to enjoy a beautiful view on Bitchu Matsuyama Castle.

Access

Parking

The three following parking lots are open from 8 : 30 am to 9 : 00 pm (Attention : from 11 : 00 pm it is impossible for vehicules to leave the parking lot). The first 30 minutes are free for all. After 30 minutes, it is still free during 90 minutes for library’s users (total : 2 hours free). Bring your parking ticket to the library’s counter. 

Over 30 minutes, or 2 hours for library’s users, parking is charged 100 yen per hour. However, the maximal price for P1 is 800 yen a day.
